Hello. Welcome to NH Outlook. I'm Richard Ager. New Hampshire is known for having one of the lowest crime rates in the country but we are also earning a reputation for having one of the fastest growing prison populations. We are beginning to pay the price in lives - and money - wasted. A plan to reverse this trend is making its way through the state house where it is attracting bipartisan support - but also some concerns from those who would have to carry it out.
